On Thursday, February 6, 2024, we organized in Dommeldange celebration on the occasion of the Slovenian cultural day. The event dedicated to Srečko Kosovel was organized in cooperation with the d'Breck association, which actively works in the field of linguistic integration, so we organized the event bilingually in Slovenian and French.
The event was organized by Maja Žužman and Emil Kos, who also coordinated the event. The ceremonial address was given by dr. Saša Sever, a lawyer at the Court of Justice of the EU, and the recitals were prepared by volunteers of various nationalities, students of the European School in Luxembourg and students of supplementary classes of the Slovenian language under the mentorship of ge. Petre Likar Jan.
Gaja and Vida Sušelj, students of the conservatory in Luxembourg, provided a touching musical contribution. Almost 60 people attended the event, and the Slolux association took care of the refreshments.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the celebration.
At the event, we also started a charity campaign for young Slovenian musical hopefuls. You are welcome to read more at the link below and donate according to your means!

Charity campaign for young musicians from socially less encouraging backgrounds
At the event, we presented a charity campaign for young Slovenian musicians. It will be open until February 25, 2014.
We dedicate the charity campaign to the fund »I'm a musician", which is the foundation of the program One heart, led by the Association of Friends of the Youth of Slovenia. Read more about the program below.
The aim of the Glasbenik sem fund is to provide assistance to children and young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in realizing their musical potential. We want to enable children and young people who want to create music to attend a music school or help them buy an instrument if they want to further develop their musical potential.
