The Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia for relations with Slovenians abroad and around the world politely invites you to XVI. All-Slovenian meeting with Title "Let's celebrate with the Slovenian homeland", which will be in Thursday, June 30, 2016 in the great hall of the National Assembly.
This year we celebrate the important 25th anniversary of independent Slovenia. On this occasion, the invited speakers will give their views on the development of events in Slovenia in the period from independence to the present day, their expectations and their contribution to the support of the Slovenian homeland, namely dr. Verica Trstenjak, prof. for European Law at the University of Vienna, Mr Martin Lisjak, head of the Lex project and member of the regional leadership of the Slovenian Cultural and Economic Union in Italy, and via video Mr Joe Valencic, historian, filmmaker and researcher of the life of Slovenians in the USA.
In the invitation, the committee also wrote that in the second part of the meeting, which starts at 9 a.m., they would like to speak in particular representatives of young compatriots outside the borders of the Republic of Slovenia, as they are interested in their assessment of the current state of relations between the homeland in which they live and the motherland. We would also like to listen to their expectations and give them the opportunity to present their contribution in support of the Slovenian homeland.
In the form of a ten-minute contribution, young compatriots from different parts of the world will present themselves.
