Dear Slovenian men and women!
The President of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, dr. Miro Cerar, on November 21, 2017, appointed new members of the Council of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians around the world for a term of five years. We are happy to inform you that it is the prime minister also appointed Emil Kos, president of the Slolux association, as one of the two representatives of Slovenians living in European countries.
The appointment of Mr. Kosa v Svet is undoubtedly not only a recognition of his efforts and concern for Slovenians in Luxembourg and around the world, but also a sign of recognition of the rapidly growing Slovenian community in Luxembourg.
We congratulate Emil on his appointment and wish him much success in all his future endeavors.

What is the Council of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians around the world?
The Council for Slovenians around the World is a permanent consultative body of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. It is made up of representatives of state bodies, institutions, political organizations and civil society organizations from the Republic of Slovenia and from abroad and emigration. The Council for Slovenians around the world participates in the formulation and implementation of the policy and strategy of the Republic of Slovenia in the area of caring for Slovenians around the world. Among others, the Prime Minister appoints four representatives of Slovenians living in European countries, two of whom are representatives of Slovenian emigrants living in the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
