On 22 May 2016, the President of the Slovenian Society in Luxembourg Slolux, Emil Kos, met with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Milan Brglez, who, together with his delegation, attended the Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of the Member States of the European Union and the European Parliament, which took place in Luxembourg between 22 and 24 May 2016. Kos presented the activities of the society and the life of the Slovenian community in Luxembourg to the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Brglez.
Kos, who took the President of the National Assembly on a short walk through the center of Luxembourg, expressed his support for the activities of the association, as it is of utmost importance for Slovenians living abroad to connect and maintain contact with their mother tongue and homeland, and the fact that they want to help each other is also particularly commendable. The Slolux association, which will organize a major event in Luxembourg on National Day in June, is also proudly representing Slovenia at various events in Luxembourg with the help of the voluntary work of the association's members.
