The President of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, dr. Miro Cerar, on November 21, 2017, appointed new members of the Council of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Slovenians around the world for a term of five years. \nThe Council for Slovenians around the World is a permanent consultative body of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. It is made up of representatives of state bodies, institutions, political organizations and civil society organizations from the Republic of Slovenia and from abroad and emigration. The Council for Slovenians around the world participates in the formulation and implementation of the policy and strategy of the Republic of Slovenia in the area of caring for Slovenians around the world. Among others, the Prime Minister appoints four representatives of Slovenians living in European countries, two of whom are representatives of Slovenian emigrants living in the countries of the former Yugoslavia.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
