This year's National Day was celebrated in the company of Gorizia's creatives. At the ceremony, which was thematically dedicated to the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025, the official address by Ambassador Barbara Sušnik was followed by the opening of an exhibition designed by Nataša Kovšca and a piano recital by Miran Devetak.
Exhibition Balance includes works by four artists from the border area between Slovenia and Italy – Annibel Cunoldi Attems, Danilo Jejčič, Andrej Perko and Carlo Vidoni – who express themselves through photography and spatial installations. The common thread of their works is the exploration of the fragile balance between nature and society and the confrontation with contemporary challenges such as the depletion of natural resources, increasing technological alienation and global social and environmental crises.
The curated exhibition was conceived at the GONG Gallery in Nova Gorica, and is now on display at the Foyer européen in Luxembourg until July 11.
