On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the CinEast film festival, we celebrated Slovenian evening with the long-awaited film Belo se pere na 90, directed by Marko Naberšnik and based on the acclaimed novel by Bronja Žakelj.
Ambassador Barbara Sušnik welcomed the guests and highlighted the long and fruitful cooperation between Slovenia and the CinEast festival, which has been bringing Slovenian creativity and stories to audiences in Luxembourg for many years.
We were especially honored by the presence of Bronja Žakelj, who joined the audience for a Q&A session after the screening. The evening concluded with a reception with Slovenian wine in a wonderful atmosphere of culture, friendship, and film.
On the occasion of the event, we would like to thank Marina Seliškar for re-organizing the Slovenian film selection and the Slovenian evening, Ambassador Barbara Sušnik for her long-term support of the Slolux association, the Office for Slovenians Abroad for co-financing the association's activities, and of course all the Slovenians who give meaning to our events with their presence.
