On June 18, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., 42 founding members officially founded the non-profit organization "Slovensko društvo v Luxemburg, Slolux asbl".
On Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., 37 Slovenians gathered in the "Centre sportif et culturel Gare", 5 were present through proxies. Among the founding members, we were pleased to welcome a representative of the Slovenian Embassy in Brussels, Slovenian representatives of the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Auditors, a representative of the association LSBC, representatives of European institutions and individuals who study or work in the private sector in Luxembourg.
The name "Slovensko društvo v Luxemburg, Slolux asbl" was adopted at the assembly chaired by Emil Kos, as well as the Statute, Membership Terms and Election Rules (you can view all documents in the "About" tab). A membership fee of €20 for an individual member and €30 for a family was voted on at the event.
The founding members elected Emil Kos as president of the association, Silvija Žagar as vice president and Andreja Krč Grčar as treasurer; the first mandate of the board of directors lasts one year. Maja Žužman, Marina Seliškar and Saša Theis Valpot were elected to the supervisory board; the first mandate of the supervisory board lasts 2 years. Congratulations to all those elected.
We ended the assembly with a pleasant gathering over Slovenian delicacies.
