Dear,
for the tenth year in a row, we are looking forward to Slovenian feature films and documentaries at the CinEast Festival.
On Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 8:30 p.m we warmly invite you in the Cinématheque to see the internationally awarded several times of the film Ivan.
The screening will be followed by a conversation with director Janez Burger and a reception with a glass of Slovenian wine.
Description:
Immediately after young Mara gives birth to Ivan, her worst nightmare begins. Ivan's father Rok, a married businessman whom Mara loves obsessively, disappears. When Mara finds out that Rok is accused of economic crime, she is brutally beaten by his wife's associates. Roku finally manages to make contact with her, but Mara is faced with an impossible choice between her love and her child. Ivan is a modern film that takes place in Slovenia, but it could also take place anywhere else. A personal drama with a background of corruption. A drama about making the wrong decisions.
