CONSULAR NOTICE: EARLY ELECTIONS TO THE STATE ASSEMBLY (3/6/2018)

NOTICE TO VOTERS

In the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia no. 25/18 of 14 April 2018, the Decree on the dissolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and on the announcement of early elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia is published. General voting will take place at all polling stations in the country and abroad on Sunday, June 3, 2018. For the day of the announcement of early elections according to this decree, which starts the deadlines for all electoral tasks, is considered Monday, 16 April 2018.

Voters are informed that on Sunday, June 3, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, polling stations will be open at the following diplomatic missions and consulates of the Republic of Slovenia:

GK in Klagenfurt, GK in Cleveland, GK in Munich, GK in Trieste, GK in Toronto, VP in Vienna, VP in Athens, VP in Belgrade, VP in Berlin, VP in Bern, VP in Bratislava, VP in Brussels, VP in Budapest, VP in Buenos Aires, VP in Canberra, VP in The Hague, VP in Kiev, VP in Copenhagen, VP in London, VP in Madrid, VP in Moscow, VP in Ottawa, VP in Paris, VP in Podgorica, VP in Prague , VP in Sarajevo, VP in Skopje, VP in Warsaw, VP in Washington, VP in Zagreb and VP at the Holy See.

Voters have from 6/5/2018 to 18/5/2018 at any administrative unit, diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Slovenia, the possibility of viewing data in the records of the right to vote. Support list of candidates

From 16 April 2018 to 3 May 2018, voters can confirm the support form for the list of candidates at the DKP.

A voter can show his support by signing the prescribed forms only once.

The forms are published on the website of the National Electoral Commission:

Voters who are permanently or temporarily abroad during the deadline for collecting support can also give their support to the list of candidates, if they express their support by having their signature on the form certified by an official at the diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Slovenia.

Voter completed support form he himself sends to the proposer, which ensures that the given support is sent to the administrative unit.

Voting options

A. Expats – voters with a permanent address abroad, you can exercise your right to vote in the following ways:

3 June 2018 at the polling station of the diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Slovenia,

by mail,

at a polling station in the territory of the Republic of Slovenia (OMNIA polling station), if you will be in the Republic of Slovenia on the day of voting and if you will notify the District Election Commission, in whose area you will vote, or the National Election Commission in time. Last deadline to forward this notice to the National Election Commission is 30. 5. 2018.

Application for voting at the polling station OMNIA the voter can submit via the e-governance portal:

a. with a digital certificate:https://e-uprava.gov.si/podrocja/vloge/vloga.html?id=3488

b. without a digital certificate:https://e-uprava.gov.si/podrocja/vloge/vloga.html?id=3487

c. via the completed form Obr03https://e-uprava.gov.si/domains/roles/roles.html?id=3487 (published in the post section), which he sends to DVK:

·        by e-mail (scanned for signature) to the e-mail address ·        gp.dvk(at)dvk-rs.si or 
·        by fax to the number 00 386 143 31 269 or 
·        by mail to the address: National Electoral Commission, Slovenska cesta 54, SI-1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia.

B. Lodgers – voters with a temporary address abroad or voters who happen to be abroad can exercise their right to vote abroad in the following ways:

3 June 2018 at the polling station of the diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Slovenia with an open polling station, if on time (that is up to and including 5/3/2018), you notify the National Election Commission that you want to vote on the DKP.

by mail from abroad, but only if addressed to the National Electoral Commission, up to and including 5/3/2018 you send a notification that you want to vote by mail from abroad.

All foreign voters who wish to vote at a diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Slovenia with an open polling station or by mail from abroad are advised to forward the notification to the National Election Commission as soon as possible.

Application for the above-mentioned ways of exercising the right to vote can be submitted by the voter through the E-Government portal, which allows:
