"We had no idea he had depression..."
By the time we parents say this sentence, it's usually too late. Isolation, homeschooling, mental distress, and many other factors have pushed many young people into distress, even depression. The number of self-harm and suicides among young people has never been higher. But we parents are unprepared, because we don't even know how to notice the symptoms, let alone know how to deal with them...

Therefore, in the Slolux association We are organizing a workshop entitled "How to recognize depression in adolescents?"
The workshop consists of 4 sections:
1. Recognizing depressive mood and emotional distress in children and adolescents! — performed by Špela Reš
2. What can parents do when they begin to suspect their child is depressed? — performed by Katja Kumše
3. How and where to seek help in Luxembourg? What are your options and rights? — conducted by Dr. Fari Khabirpour (in English)
4. Questions and answers!
The workshop will be on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Altrimenti clubYou can also attend the workshop online (the Zoom link will be sent to you later).
The price of participation is €40 (tickets can be purchased online for €30).
Come and equip yourself with knowledge that we hope you will never need. Invite other parents too.
